Your mind is never empty. Now, at this moment, you are thinking of something. Or may be you changed your thought process after reading my first sentence. Like this, there are many triggers which cause your mind to change the mood or thought process.

Your next thought depends on what you are thinking right now. There are around 52 types of thoughts/states in your mind which are further divided into 121 states. I will be giving more detailed explanation of all these mental states in my upcoming posts.

Out of 52 mental states, here are the dangerous mental states which cause a person to suffer a lot. Whatever dangerous things happening around the world are because of these mental states of people.

1.)  Delusion

Meaning: an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.

Synonyms:  misapprehension, mistaken impression, false impression, mistaken belief, misconception, misunderstanding, mistake, error, misinterpretation, misconstruction.

Example:

a. You are going through a bad phase of your life and you blame someone for doing some black magic on you.

Believe in yourself that if you do good things you can always come out of that bad phase.

b. Believing that you can contact e.g. god, aliens, etc. and live your whole life in such delusions.

c. In general, you believe in things you have never seen or experienced yourself.

2.)  Shamelessness

Shame is a painful feeling that's a mix of regret, self-hate, and dishonor. A good person would feel shame if they cheated on a test or did something mean to a friend. Shamelessness is a state of mind in which a person does not feel anything when he/she does something wrong (intentionally or unintentionally)

Example:

When being in this mental state,

a. you do not feel bad when you cheat on your friends, family, etc.
b. you do not regret of your wrong doing like using bad words, killing someone, etc.

Checking WhatsApp even when there is no notification, is one the examples of restlessness 😉

Example:

When you do not have anything to do, this state of mind gets activated.
This state of mind sometimes makes you do unnecessary things which may cause problems.

E.g.

a. When there is nothing to talk to your spouse, you think of some topic and start talking about something in the past or future and you end up quarrelling with each other.

b. Restlessness is not only observed through actions, but also in the mind.
You cannot keep your mind blank, you keep on thinking about past or future.

5.)  Greed

Meaning: intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.

In this state of mind, you feel unsatisfied with whatever you have.

6.)  Wrong view

In this state of mind, you get a wrong view of a thing, a person, or a situation.

Example:

If you have lost something important in your life on a day, say on 13th October, 2017, you start feeling the same day in upcoming years as your unlucky day. You might consider the number “13” as your bad-luck number.

8.)  Hatred/Anger

Meaning:       intense dislike; hate.

Different people hate different things, persons, etc. this state of mind is one of the dangerous states.

The enlightened one always says:

“Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned”

You can experience above quote in your day-to-day life. When a person you hate, or a similar person comes in front of you, your mood automatically gets changed. This change will not hurt that person but YOU.

This state of mind makes you anxious and becomes hurdle for your good actions.
